The Tropical Trouser (Men)

€260.00

We designed our first trouser model to be a classical but versatile tailored trouser for the warmer months, with a sartorial aspect in the side adjusters and single pleats.

It is made in a “tropical” linen woven in Ireland (named for the style of linen historically worn in the tropics).

The fit

  • Cut to a fairly slim leg (but not skinny), with a gentle taper, and a mid-to-high rise. The women’s model has a more pronounced carrot fit.

  • Check our size guide to make sure you’re ordering the right size. If you are on the border between sizes, we suggest taking a bigger size and having the waist taken in (if needed).

  • Jerome is 187cm tall, generally takes a size 50 (IT) and wears his normal size.

The fabric

  • Lot 1/24 is made up in a robust, 255gsm tropical linen woven in Ireland, in a fairly cool off-white colour that we call oyster. It is neither white nor cream.

  • Tropical linen has a fairly dense, slightly slubbed texture that can hold a pleat, so it’s a crisper, more elegant linen for a smarter trouser, and with enough weight to fend off cooler summer evenings. Little knots in the linen are normal.

The details

  • Single outward-facing pleats, side adjusters and an extended waistband (which tucks itself away behind a jacket).

  • All our trousers are supplied unhemmed (and with extra length) to be finished by your local alterations shop.

  • Made in Martina Franca, Puglia. For more about where we manufacture, take a look at our journal.
