The Filetto Shirt (Men)
In our first shirt model we’ve tried to create the ideal, throw-on summer garment that strikes the perfect note between casual and considered. It takes the form of a “popover” shirt with a deep, expressive placket; a touch more casual than a full buttoned shirt but equal in refinement. It is made by a specialist shirtmaker in Martina Franca, Puglia, employing the same sartorial construction across the men’s and women’s models.
We’ve named the shirt after the filetto pocket at the breast, which sits underneath the shirt fabric and is only visible at its opening; a place to stow your shades when you sit down to lunch.
Fit
Classic fit, not too slim, and designed to fall slightly over your shoulder for a relaxed posture.
All our sizes are expressed in Italian sizes, so check our size guide to make sure you take the right size. If you are on the border between sizes, we always suggest taking a bigger size.
Jerome is 187cm tall, generally takes a size 46 (EU) / 50 (IT) and wears a 50 (IT).
Fabric
Lightweight Italian linen, woven between Milan and Como from the finest French linen fibres.
The colour is a soft, grey-toned beige that we call limestone.
Details
Unlined collar and cuffs (to keep the shirt soft and relaxed throughout).
Generous cutaway collar (in the expressive “French” style).
Deep placket, rounded buttoned cuffs, and rounded side splits.
Made in Martina Franca, Puglia. For more about where we manufacture, take a look at our journal.
