Made by a specialist shirtmaker in Martina Franca, Italy, and limited to 25 pieces, the “filetto” shirt is an elegant, throw-on summer garment that strikes the perfect note between casual and considered.

It takes the form of a “popover” shirt with a deep, expressive placket and generous cutaway collar; an indulgent, breezy summer shirt. We’ve named the shirt after the subtle filetto pocket at the chest - a semi-hidden pocket where you can pop your sunglasses.

  • Classic fit, not too slim, and designed to fall slightly over your shoulder for a relaxed posture.

    Unlined collar and cuffs (to keep the shirt soft and relaxed throughout), and generous cutaway collar in the expressive “French” style. Deep placket, rounded buttoned cuffs, and rounded side splits.

    All our sizes are expressed in Italian sizes, so check our size guide to make sure you take the right size. Our women’s shirt sizes run slightly small, so consider taking a size up.

    Chiara is 172cm tall, generally takes a size 36 EU (40 IT) and is wearing a size 40 IT.

  • Lightweight Italian linen, woven between Milan and Como from the finest French linen fibres. The colour is a soft, grey-toned beige that we call limestone.

    Wash on low temperature and air-dry.

  • Return for a full refund within 14 days of receipt.

    For all returns, please contact us at info@sudclothiers.com, noting your name, order number, the item you are returning, and whether you would like a refund or exchange. We will provide a return shipping label.

    The cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund (and any cost of shipping an exchange will be separately charged).

    The garment(s) must be returned in the original box, unworn, with no visible defects and with the hang tags intact.
